Dean A. Brainard, founder of NEXUS, LLC and Consulting Associate for The Ken Blanchard Companies® brings a wide range of experience working as a consultant, trainer, and manager. His collaborative and engaging style of training and facilitation creates a transformational breakthrough experience that challenges and encourages leaders at all levels of the organization to realize their true potential.

 

Due to his numerous years in executive and frontline management roles, Dean has a unique ability to design, customize, and deliver training curriculums that achieve his clients’ critical business outcomes. His broad leadership background allows him to quickly understand and help facilitate solutions to leaders’ most complex challenges, including business growth and profitability, return on shareholder investment, customer devotion, and employee engagement. Dean’s areas of expertise include organization development, leadership development, team building, frontline training, and business planning.

 

As a third-generation energy-industry employee, Dean draws from more than 30 years of experience in working with premier energy companies upstream at the wellhead in the Gulf of Mexico; the Permian Basin, US; Alberta, Canada; the North Sea in Europe; Eurasia; and Australia. He also has experience downstream with progressive distribution companies throughout Canada and the United States. Dean is the author of Leadership Imperative for the Oil and Gas Industry: Tightening the Connection That Optimizes Safety and Productivity.

 

Dean holds a bachelor of science degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Penn State University. He also completed Syracuse University’s Graduate School of Sales & Marketing Management program.
